CNN -- Scalia: "I learned my lesson"
http://www.cnn.com/2004/LAW/04/13/scalia.recording.ap/index.html

Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, in a letter to an Associated Press reporter received Tuesday, said he learned his lesson over an incident in which a federal marshal erased recordings of a speech Scalia gave to high school students.

Scalia also vowed he would make it clear in the future that recording his remarks for the use of the print media would not be a problem.

"I have learned my lesson (at your expense), and shall certainly be more careful in the future," Scalia wrote in the letter dated Friday.

</snip>

When you are a justice of the Supreme Court of the United States, it is a little late to be learning lessons about the first amendment, IMO.

5. let's see now ...
This job has been one big learning experience for him, hasn't it!

Meddling with the Executive Branch, 2000
Flaunting his Conflict of Interest, 2003
First Amendment, 2004

I didn't even realize the Supreme Court took on interns at that level, did you?

7. He believes the constitution is not a living document
subject to interpretation of the current times. That is what he should give himself a lesson on and change his thinking.

8. Excuse me, but Scalia is a Supreme Court Justice?
Right?

Shouldn't it be expected that a Supreme Court Justice understands the basic components of our Right to Free Speech?

How the hell, can he uphold and interprete the law when he doesn't even understand the basics?

9. And the lesson is:
Don't get caught behaving like a nazi: keep it all out of the spotlight. Can we impeach the bastard yet?
