Cameron: UK planning for no-fly zone over Libya
(AP) – 1 hour ago

LONDON (AP) — Prime Minister David Cameron said Monday he's ordered his top brass to work with Britain's allies on a plan to establish a military no-fly zone over Libya.

Cameron did not say whether that meant that the U.K. and its allies were preparing to enforce such a flight ban or simply making plans in case the situation there escalated.

But he told British lawmakers that "we do not in any way rule out the use of military assets" to deal with Moammar Gadhafi's embattled regime, which has attempted to crush pro-democracy protests with intense violence.

"We must not tolerate this regime using military force against its own people," Cameron said. "It is clear that this is an illegitimate regime that has lost the consent of its people. My message to Col. Gadhafi is simple: 'Go now.'"

1. How about a no fly zone over Afghanistan?
The US-led NATO forces are killing plenty of children there.

2. Russia: No-Fly Zone Not Discussed with Clinton

(GENEVA) — Russia's foreign minister says he had no talks with Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton about a no-fly zone over Libya as Western officials raised doubts about the ability to enforce such an order.

Sergey Lavrov said the no-fly zone was "absolutely not" discussed as he emerged from a meeting with Clinton. "It was not mentioned by anyone," he said.

His comments come as French Prime Minister Francois Fillon said his government was studying all options, including military, to push Moammar Gadhafi into leaving power. But Fillon said a no-fly zone needed U.N. support "which is far from being obtained today."

And he questioned whether NATO should get involved in a civil war in a North African country.

3. Flying from Malta...
We could do it...

It would be the first time that a land based RAF aircraft shots down another aircraft since WWII.

I recon this will be Cameron's strong-man moment where he pursues using H.M's Armed Services, much in the same way as Thatcher did with the Falklands. Don't get me wrong, enforcing a no-fly zone over libya and the Falklands were fought for good causes, it's just that I guarantee that Cameron will be doing some serious political high stepping if this dose materialize.
