Reporter's phone, bank and travel records seized as hunt for whistleblowers is stepped up
Source: Daily Mail

As the fallout from the Wikileaks revelations rumble on, new details have emerged of the extraordinary lengths prosecutors will go to identify leakers.

Court papers in the case of a former CIA officer accused of spilling secrets show that prosecutors got hold of a reporter's phone, credit and bank records, his credit report from three different agencies and records of his airline travel.

Ex-CIA officer, Jeffrey Sterling, was indicted in December on charges that he disclosed 'national defense information' to New York Times reporter James Risen.

He is accused of revealing secrets about Iran’s nuclear program.

14. Yeah, it's always better when a Democrat is subverting the Constitution
as opposed to a Republican doing it.

Is there any such thing as the good guys and the bad guys anymore?

3. Let's just make sure.....
...that Obama doesn't get any blame for this, okay? I mean sure, it's his watch now. And he picked the people who are doing this to "save" the country. But if it's bad stuff like we'd expect to happen under one of those Bush-type presidents, then it's not Obama's fault that it's happening. Why? Because he only does the good things, see?

- And besides, freedom of the press is conditional when NATIONAL SECURITY is at stake. Okay?

7. My, oh my...I thought Obama wanted us to look forward...
He couldn't be bothered to bring the Bushco war criminals to trial. But he and his DOJ can turn over every rock to find out who was intemperate enough to speak the truth about ongoing US govt. crimes. Yes, indeedy!

I despise that man more each day.

10. I'm not sure what else wikileaks will reveal, but these leaks are nothing compared to the
disclosures bush and his administration have written in their books and are selling.... We won't prosecute those crimes documented by the criminals themselves? I suppose Spain will have to do that.... We are busy with medicare fraud and reporters revealing secrets....

17. That's an important point. The Cheney/Bush criminals actually confess
to having committed war crimes. In one sense they're doing AG Holder's work for him.

Yet not a peep from Pres. Obama. Says something about whose interests they are serving, and they're not those of the American people.
