Packers win fourth Super Bowl title
Source: AP

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP)

Aaron Rodgers has turned the Green Bay Packers into Super Bowl champions once again.

Rodgers threw three touchdown passes and Nick Collins returned an interception for another score, leading the Packers to a 31-25 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.

This was Green Bay's fourth Super Bowl title. The Packers won the first two Super Bowls with Vince Lombardi coaching Bart Starr, and captured another with Brett Favre in January 1997.

13. I didn't watch
and didn't know who won until right before this post. I have to assume you are either a disgruntled Steelers fan or a complete kill joy with nothing more to do than go around shitting in people's oatmeal.

5. My fiancée is so thrilled! She is in tears...and she is from japan!
She adapted to American culture real quick! Of course, there was some tension between us when my Giants beat the packers to advance to the superbowl a few years back!

18. One of the Reasons
I was rooting for the Packers is that after the Giants beat them in 2007 to advance to the Super Bowl, Packer fans as a whole were surprisingly gracious. They deserved it this year.

7. I bet Brett is rolling in the floor mad . . .
and wishing he had stayed in Green Bay. But then again, they may have not won if Brett had still been with the Packers . . ."just sayin" . . .

10. for the first time since '97!
Edited on Mon Feb-07-11 02:14 AM by alp227
I've been looking forward to seeing the PACKERS win for a change. The Steelers have the most Super Bowls of all the NFL teams already including most recently for the 2005 and 2008 seasons. However the Packers haven't won since '97 and lost the next year's SB to the John Elway-led Denver Broncos.

11. I can't believe anyone is falling for this.
Can't we get a more reputable source than fox?

At this point this must be taken as rumor and we must demand strict proof therein.

23. Surely, your not going against the Packers/Bears unwritten/unspoken agreement?
Edited on Mon Feb-07-11 06:46 PM by HuckleB
I always root for the Bears when they're past the Packers. So, come on, what gives. I mean rooting against the Vikings is acceptable, but a Bears fan rooting against the Packers in the Super Bowl, uh, not so much, and vice versa.

:hi:

14. I didn't think they could do it..
The Packers have proven me wrong by:

winning their last two games to qualify for the playoffs...
beating the Falcons
beating the Seahawks
beating the Bears on their home field!

not choking in "the big one" and beating a really big, physical team like the STeelers.

Okay...

after a season of doubting them...I admit I was wrong.

tearfully, I say: Coach Lombardi, your trophy is coming home...

That one was chilly, I was just happy to be able to walk on my near-frozen feet afterwards.

17. Socialism is not only alive and well;
In Green Bay but it is thriving. Strange thing though, I've spent some time in that region and I'd not be surprised if the school children were not given a day off on 'Gunner Joe's' birthday.
