Ed Mauser brought the crowd at his funeral to its feet Wednesday.

One of Mauser's last wishes was for mourners at his funeral to recite the Pledge of Allegiance.

The Rev. Dan Soltys could not think of a reason why not, so they did.

With right hands over their hearts, an estimated 120 people stood amid the pews at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church and pledged their allegiance to the flag and to the United States of America.
