Police: Mom Barricaded Boy In Room, Lit Grill

A Quincy (Massachusetts) boy who died Thursday of carbon monoxide poisoning in his home was trapped there by his mother, who was trying to kill them both, according to police.

Brandon Yang, 8, and his mother, Li Rong Zhang, were found unconscious in the apartment at 19 Yardarm Lane by the boy's 16-year-old brother when he returned from school.

Zhang, 39, was arraigned on murder charges in the hospital, according to Norfolk County District Attorney Michael Morrissey. Officials allege she barricaded herself and her son in a room and lit a coal-fired hibachi grill.

"(Officers) attempted to push the door in. When they made entrance, there was a bureau-type (piece of furniture) blocking the door that went from the floor to the ceiling," Quincy Police Department Chief Paul Keenan said.

that says a mother of any young child should take the kid with her when she commits suicide because the world is not a good place for motherless children.

There have been other cases just like this one.

Don't worry, though, she'll go to prison for a very long time instead of getting the psychiatric help she should have been able to get months ago.

and how brutal and demanding they are this week. I don't know if this is a Chinese family, but I can't help but think she may have been influenced by him.

I have no problem with assigning blame where it belongs...but seriously, trying to attach every horror story to these clowns gives them way to much credit and makes you look a little silly.

The other one was the Michigan guy who killed his wife and kids, then got in his car and lit a grill inside it.
