Walmart, Homeland Security join forces
Source: Examiner

Walmart and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security today announced the expansion of the “If You See Something, Say Something” campaign into Walmart stores.

Walmart shoppers will be greeted at checkout stands with a video message from Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano urging them to be cautious about possible terrorists, according to a message emailed to journalists by the federal agency.

The 44-second message urges shoppers to contact local law enforcement officers if they see anything suspicious, and to approach a Walmart employee if they need help contacting authorities.

1. I expect a rash of people "saying something" about
Walmart customers who are speaking a foreign language in the store or who look "different" in some way. Probably they'll have darkish skin, and will thus be "obviously suspicious." This will not work out well, IMO.

30. You could also use it against your next-door neighbor....
...if you don't like him. Or against your boss or your ex-girlfriend who jilted you, etc. This actually happened in East Germany, where people turned in their personal enemies to the Stasi. The possibilities are endless.

That's the difference between fascism and a right wing dictatorship. Fascism always has a mass movement based on the middle class.

11. The problem with that program is what they want you to think is bad.
If you see something say something.

But they tell you that someone having a copy of the constitution is bad.

So you say someone has the copy of the constitution, and they go after the person.

Why is that, to keep you from speaking, to try to get you to think that if you see something and say it, you will hurt the person with the copy of the constitution in that example.

That is a way to try to get people to be quiet thinking that darkness can defeat light.

For example the reason the picture of the face on the 'poster in another post' looks like it does is because it is meant to be seen as Real Time. And more importantly, it is obvious. Creating the concept of should it be posted when seen. Then the question should you comment on saying things.

See how that works. Bush's programs were not 'if you see something say something' That is what that guy is doing, Bush wanted people to say what would help him, but saying what you see does not equate to helping the policy he thinks it does. That is why 'finding a lover that will not blow your cover' does not work for most, because lovers are honest and pure, and if your intent is like the security state stuff, when you say 'if you see it say it', it will hurt those that say that.

But then it shifts to filters and perspectives, and why society is messed up, because when someone says what is going wrong in banking or some other area, or war crimes, they don't do anything, so that program, if you see something say something is a lie, however it does hurt liars.

Some might think that could hurt Real Time, but if in the right how could it hurt Real Time. Or if hurt, then it shows the wrong of some other system.

So the reason 'Real Time' is on the photo, is to get someone to think that if they say it, that it will hurt someone or something, then from there it tries to get people to be quiet. Then again, who is to say the photo is accurate anyways, so really does it mean anything?

Then again might be men of the west, so who knows.

So, what O'Donnel said when asked what would you say if someone asked you if you were hiding Jewish people many years ago was correct.

She said that she hoped God would give her an answer that would not put any in peril, from that she can be open and honest and still speak without lying. Also being protected from sin. So if someone asked me if I recognize who is in the photo, I know the intent, and the unfolding actions after that.

Because it would not create a problem to say that.

Side note, if something is a personal matter between people, there is no reason for other people to know. So privacy is not a violation of secrecy, unless the privacy is to hide what is hurting many people.

There is one that is just barely on the Peninsula, in Santa Clara County, which never looks very busy.

Here is an action plan.

1) go to CommieMart.
2) look in the gun dept and find a typical teabagger
3) engage him in a friendly talk about how evil that "usurper" in the white house is, and let him ramble
4) once you've ascertained how many illegal weapons he has, turn him in

42. BIG SIS INVADES WAL-MART: 'IF YOU SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING'
Source: U.S. Department of Homeland Security

Press Office
U.S. Department of Homeland Security
Dec. 6, 2010

WASHINGTON -- Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Janet Napolitano today announced the expansion of the Department’s national “If You See Something, Say Something” campaign to hundreds of Walmart stores across the country—launching a new partnership between DHS and Walmart to help the American public play an active role in ensuring the safety and security of our nation.

“Homeland security starts with hometown security, and each of us plays a critical role in keeping our country and communities safe,” said Secretary Napolitano. “I applaud Walmart for joining the ‘If You See Something, Say Something’ campaign. This partnership will help millions of shoppers across the nation identify and report indicators of terrorism, crime and other threats to law enforcement authorities.”

The “If You See Something, Say Something” campaign—originally implemented by New York City’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority and funded, in part, by $13 million from DHS’ Transit Security Grant Program—is a simple and effective program to engage the public and key frontline employees to identify and report indicators of terrorism, crime and other threats to the proper transportation and law enforcement authorities.

More than 230 Walmart stores nationwide launched the “If You See Something, Say Something” campaign today, with a total of 588 Walmart stores in 27 states joining in the coming weeks. A short video message, available here, will play at select checkout locations to remind shoppers to contact local law enforcement to report suspicious activity.

Over the past five months, DHS has worked with its federal, state, local and private sector partners, as well as the Department of Justice, to expand the “If You See Something, Say Something” campaign and Nationwide SAR Initiative to communities throughout the country—including the recent state-wide expansions of the “If You See Something, Say Something” campaign across Minnesota and New Jersey. Partners include the Mall of America, the American Hotel & Lodging Association, Amtrak, the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, sports and general aviation industries, and state and local fusion centers across the country.

In the coming months, the Department will continue to expand the “If You See Something, Say Something” campaign nationally with public education materials and outreach tools designed to help America’s businesses, communities and citizens remain vigilant and play an active role in keeping the county safe.

57. Riiiiight.....
'Cause when <I> think "perfect international terrorism target", I DEFINITELY think wal-mart...
It seems silly to me for the Govt. to think that Wal-mart shoppers are this nations best defense against people who want to kill us, it also seems to be a reflection of the hubris and self-importance that major Corps. carry around with them to think that they can offer the Govt. some kind of useful service in lieu paying taxes like their told to...
The last time I was in wal-mart there was a dark skinned man in front of me at the checkout with a cart full of breakfast cereal. When he left, the redneck drunk lady behind me said "do you think I should report him to the cops or store security of something? My response was "I don't think "Coco Bombs" means what you think it means".....and promptly got the hell out of there, and I haven't been back.....

70. Hopefully we can give Wal-Mart some money to install the TSA & Nude-o-scopes in their stores

Wanna be safe and everything, ya know.

By the way, Mohammed Atta shopped at our local Wal-Mart on 9/10. I am sure that strip searching him when he shopped there would've stopped the plot! :sarcasm:
