(Las Vegas) Review-Journal publisher Sherman Frederick, editor Thomas Mitchell out
Edited on Fri Nov-12-10 04:03 PM by Newsjock
Source: Las Vegas Sun

In an apparent shake-up at the highest ranks of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the newspaper announced today that Publisher Sherman Frederick has left the post and will become a consultant and columnist, and Editor Thomas Mitchell was reassigned from newsroom boss to senior opinion editor.

Frederick also was replaced as CEO of Stephens Media, the owner of the R-J. He was replaced by Michael Ferguson, the chief operating officer of Stephens Media. Ferguson in turn named Bob Brown, the newspaper’s advertising director since 2001, as the new publisher, according to the newspaper.

The changes came as a surprise to R-J reporters, who said there was no advance warning before the news was published on the R-J’s website.

... Both Frederick and Mitchell made no secret of their journalistic focus on ousting Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid from office, a fact noted in national media for months.

4. I have been wondering how long the Stephens family was going to let this go on.
The Stephens do not like and bad publicity at all.

5. Do the Stephens own that rag? If so, that may explain the aggressive litigation

The Stephens have been corrupting both political parties and American politics for decades. They're an agent of the Chinese and Saudis, and an integral part of the BFEE.
