Unemployment rate drops in 23 states in September

WASHINGTON (AP) - Nearly half of U.S. states reported drops in their unemployment rates last month, the best showing since June. But job creation was weak in most areas of the country.

Unemployment fell in 23 states and Washington, D.C., rose in 11 states and was unchanged in 16 during September, the Labor Department said Friday. The declines were nearly double the number reported by states in the previous month.

Still, little hiring took place last month. A survey of employers found that payrolls decreased in 34 states and increased in only 16 states and Washington, D.C.

The unemployment rate can fall even as job creation is slow if workers stop searching for jobs and drop out of the labor force. If they aren't looking for work, they aren't counted as unemployed.

Rather than an actual economic turn-around. That would make sense, as we've yet to see even one month, in a loooooong time, where more than the 150,000 jobs are created just to keep pace with population growth.

But I imagine it will be but a temporary blip in an otherwise downward trend unless the structural issues behind it are addressed. We simply cannot continue in the same model of exporting all the higher paying manufacturing jobs and replacing them with lower paying service jobs and pretend under-employment isn't a problem.

The whole thing is a shell game and a scam.

TPTB and so-called leadership have no intention of ever doing anything to address the problems that created Economic Crisis, nor do they have any real plans to provide any solutions that would lead to real fundamental growth and job growth.

Their job is to come up with enough slickly produced Propaganda and massaged, faked, fabricated data to manage the perception of the public into BELIEVING there is some sort of Recovery going on and progress is being made.

Meanwhile the true intentions of their actions is simple.

Keep FrankenPonzi going as long as possible, reaping the massive profits from it, and looting, robbing, and stealing unabated anything that isn't nailed down, while the rest of the population is left to fend for itself, with no hope of any help, relief, or representation.

It's great work if you can get it.

And the Public, for the most part, will continue to drool, scratch themselves, and cheer it all on as if it is for their own good, and continue to be befuddled why there are massive protests in other parts of the world from populations in other countries. They just won't even be able to begin to grasp why those unruly terrorists protesting elsewhere won't lie down, lick-boots, be good, compliant, cowardly little sheep and just take the crumbs Uncle Thug allows them to have and just be happy.

They'll also probably cheer-on the jack-boot, Orwellian, Police State tactics used to subdue those populations as well, and have fits of bi-polar manic depression and despair that those same things aren't being used on us over here in our formerly free country.

America has become an open air asylum, where you can't tell who the bigger enemy is:
