New photo of North Korea's heir apparent Kim Jong-un

North Korean state media has released a photograph which appears to show the country's heir apparent Kim Jong-un.

It is the world's first up-to-date glimpse of the young man who appears set to succeed his father, Kim Jong-il, in a gradual transfer of power. The photograph shows senior North Korean leaders in a group.

Its release follows a rare meeting of the ruling Workers' Party, at which Kim Jong-un was promoted to senior political and military positions.

Kim Jong-un, who is thought to be about 27 years old, was named vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party and was appointed to its central committee, state media said. Mr Kim was also given the rank of a four-star general.

North Korea state media have released a photograph which appears to be the first confirmed picture of the country’s next supreme lunatic, Kim Jong-un.

Kim Jong-un, who is thought to be about 27 years old and almost certainly madder than a box of particularly mental frogs, was recently named vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission of the Workers’ Party and was also appointed to its central committee, state media said.

He has already set about convincing the North Korean people that he is ready to lead the country by issuing reports he scored an incredible six holes in one on his first ever round of golf - one more than his father, Kim Jong-Il, achieved on his first ever round.

It is as yet unclear which type of all-in-one jump-suit is preferred by the heir apparent, or whether he will continue with the family tradition of always wearing a khaki one when making up all manner of bullshit no-one outside of his country believes.

Wonder if the powers-that-be one step down will embrace him. Perhaps after his father kicks the bucket he might move towards a few reforms -- allegedly he's spent some time in the West and so there's a slim chance his conscience won't allow to completely ignore the insane disparities. Hope so, anyway. I guess it all depends on the rest of the power structure.
