GOP tries to take out tea party-backed candidate
Source: Associated Press

DOVER, Del. – Arms linked, Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell and her conservative backers kick up their heels and clap to the strains of an original song with lyrics befitting a tea party.
"Look out Washington, D.C., 'cause we are on a roll and we're rocking across this country with a message to be told."
It's a tune that's unnerving the Republican establishment in Delaware, which fears being felled by swift kicks from O'Donnell — and tea partiers.
Not long after tea party-backed Joe Miller stunned Alaska GOP Sen. Lisa Murkowski, the Republican establishment is furiously trying to avoid a similar outcome in the Delaware primary on Tuesday. Republican leaders, top strategists and even the Delaware state GOP chairman have taken the unusual step of openly working to defeat O'Donnell and ensure the nomination of their preferred candidate, nine-term Rep. Mike Castle.

2. The Dems ONLY way to salvage SOME losses from Nov will to be.....
...........to play up the "insane" and "crazy" of these ass holes, otherwise I think all may be lost for them. It's really their own fault anyway, when they had the chance for "change" they flushed it down the toilet and now they will reap the backlash from that.

4. The tea party strategy
has been to use states with smaller populations to get their candidates on the ballot over establishment Republicons. Delaware fits the bill for this, as most registered voters of a party don't turn out for primaries, and all you have to do is motivate a few thousand people.

We need to learn from them, and get truly progressive candidates in Congress this way two years from now.

and we're rocking across this country with a message to be told."

Why can't people write lyrics that actually rhyme anymore? "Roll" and "told" do not rhyme. Shit! Even "Let the Eagle soar" rhymed.... I think...

Anyway, how about:

"Look out Washington, D.C., 'cause we are on a roll and we're rocking across this country with a heavy toll."

or

"Look out Washington, D.C., 'cause we are on a roll and we're rocking across this country with this ugly troll."

or

"Look out Washington, D.C., 'cause we are on a roll and we're rocking across this country tho' we have no soul."

or

"Look out Washington, D.C., 'cause we are on a roll and we're spewing across this country empty hyperbole.

Just some suggestions....

8. Are you sure those lyrics are correct???

... it occurs to me that the lyrics should read, ""Look out Washington, D.C., 'cause we are on a roll and we're rocking across this country LIKE A BUNCH OF TROLLS."

10. In Del., GOP comes out swinging against tea party
Source: Washington Post

WILMINGTON, DEL. - It's the "tea party" vs. the Republican Party in Tuesday's Senate primary in Delaware, where a popular moderate is suddenly under siege from a little-known conservative who in any other year might have been relegated to the footnotes of 2010's election records.

That's not an entirely unfamiliar narrative in a year in which tea party organizations have ousted two incumbent senators. But Christine O'Donnell's battle with Rep. Mike Castle perhaps embodies the movement's greatest test, because unlike in other races in which the GOP has offered the tea party an awkward embrace, the Republican Party is fighting back.

The reason, state GOP officials argue, is that O'Donnell is simply unqualified to hold office. A two-time losing candidate against then-Sen. Joseph R. Biden Jr. - whose old seat she and Castle are seeking - O'Donnell has a history of financial difficulties documented in the Wilmington News Journal that includes an IRS lien, a near-foreclosure on her mortgage and a dispute with her alma mater for not paying college expenses. She has a tiny campaign operation and, for most of the year, she received virtually no grass-roots financial support within Delaware.

What O'Donnell has is the backing of Sarah Palin, Sen. Jim DeMint (R-S.C.) and the Tea Party Express. Their support has put her on the national political map not to mention within striking distance of upsetting Castle on Tuesday.

14. she also advocates no sex even between married people
anyone who is this adverse to sex has no business making decisions for anyone for any reason.

she is an affirmative action candidate, just like that idiot of the north who endorsed her.

If she can't keep her own financial messes straight, then how can she be trusted with financial issues that face ordinary people? She is unqualified on all accounts and should not be rewarded for being spalin's little pet idiot of the week.
