Marine killed west of Baghdad - Total 393 troops killed - WTF?
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/4551230/

Last paragraph:
"The death raises to 393 the number of U.S. troops killed since the United States launched the war to overthrow Saddam Hussein exactly a year ago"

14. Disgusting and Outrageous
I help as a Veteran's Service Officer, attempting to get benefits for Veterans. Only Democrats like Lane Evans, Kerry, Kerrey, Cleland et al, have ever done anything to help Veterans.

The pukes do nothing. The most disgusting thing ever written on this subject is written by syphilis ridden, diseased, Nazi Ann Coulter

http://www.townhall.com/columnists/anncoulter/ac20040212.shtml

"Cleland is making the rounds on talk TV, basking in the affection of liberals who have suddenly become jock-sniffers for war veterans and working himself into a lather about President Bush's military service"

3. Bull O'Really pulled the same stunt

Early in the war he would mention the number of deaths that could be directly attributed to hostile action, declaring that the anti-war protestors were trying to mislead the public because the numbers weren't all that large - never mind that those killed through non-hostile means were still killed as a direct result of being in Iraq in the first place. God, that bastard pissed me off...

Liberal media, my ass...

4. frex: 17 die in a helo crash
It wasn't the rocket that killed them, it was the rough landing. The ground isn't necessarily hostile.

5. I knew a guy who had the same problem.
His teeth and jaw didn't get messed up in combat, they got messed up when he crashed his shot-up helicopter. Therefore he was denied benefits for it for a while. At least until Byrd and Rockefeller got involved.

7. Well, you know the drill- here's the Reuters contact info
http://www.reuters.com/-helpSection.jhtml?p=contactUs

This was a wire story from Reuters. The more we keep the pressure up, the more they're forced to report real news.

This is more important than DUing Lou Dobbs' polls. Get to it.

9. This Is Proof Of The Administration
politicizing the war for their own selfish objectives. The fact that we can not prove the media is working for these criminals is irrelevant. What is relevant is the that this administration just plays along with the media's spin, proof enough for me, that both bodies are working together.

the number of soldiers killed who were not US citizens.

New line will look something like this:

This raised the death toll for US forces who were US citizens to 164.

18. Yes they did.
It was more subtle. Deaths trickled out. The body count was manipulated big time.

The internet has brought us to this point, a lot faster.

In the old days the VVAW (Viet-Nam Veteran's against the War) took 4 or 5 years to get organized. Communications were slow, expensive.

When the deaths reach a thousand or so enough service people (Veterans) will be out of the military and can speak freely. Then watch the Shit hit the Fan.

26. It's disgusting how the US govt cannot be honest when it comes to war.
Let's see some after action photos of pvt. Joe Snuffy after a bullet shatters his skull, come on, the REAL truth of war. I bet if EVERY NIGHT on ABC/CBS/NBC if they would show pictures (one right after the other) of our dead soldiers (all 550+ now) it would be so disturbing that citizens would be revolted by war and demand a stop to it. Instead, we get some feel good shit about how pvt. Snuffy might be dead, but he had a wonderful life, loved God, and his wife will always remember him. That's great but it hides the real truth of what warfare is - kill or be killed. Can't show those kind of images on TV, might scare the consumer into not wanting to drink diet Pepsi (loss of appetite).
