14. Recall him! It would be poetic justice IMO, since from what I know I believe the Davis recall
was engineered. For one thing, I heard reports from friends that they were asked to sign petitions for things like "higher salaries for teachers," but when they read the petition it turned out it was a "Recall Gray Davis" petition. Recalling Schwartzenegger would be karmic retribution!

16. The recall was engineered
Edited on Mon Mar-22-10 04:35 AM by Art_from_Ark
It was an effort to thwart Gray Davis' investigation of Enron and the manufactured California energy "crisis". What better way to stop the investigation than to use some archaic law that allows for the recall of a sitting governor with no way for the governor to defend himself, and install a boneheaded but popular actor to take his place? It is no coincidence that one of Arnold's first acts as "governator" was to halt Davis' investigation.

17. What do you expect, about a governor who won on the
wouldn't-it-be-a-hoot vote? "Wouldn't it be a hoot, if the Terminator were Governor?"

He goes back and forth between right wing tool and moderate wuss, thereby making enemies on all sides.

Sadly, like Arnold, Meg Whitman will probably buy herself a governorship based on her BS right wing message re-sold as reform.

29. Arnold should go and have a beer with Gray Davis
Their combined approval ratings totalled less than 50%, so they might consider forming a support group, or at least getting drunk.
