White House Vows to Stay Course in Iraq
White House Vows to Stay Course in Iraq
Wed Mar 17, 2004 04:46 PM ET

By Alan Elsner

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The White House on Wednesday
vowed to stay in Iraq and "finish the job for the Iraqi people," despite a
deadly bombing in Baghdad that marred efforts by President Bush to
tout the progress in a year of U.S. occupation.

Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry turned up his criticism of
Bush, charging that U.S. troops were stuck in Iraq with no end in sight.

"We are still bogged down in Iraq -- and the administration stubbornly
holds to failed, unilateral policies that drive ... allies away," Kerry said

"But the answer is not a stubborn pursuit of the same arrogant policies;
the answer to failure is not more of the same. Instead we have to return more effectively to the
international community," the Massachusetts senator said.

1. Good, because the road leads back to Crawford, TX
Just imagine, being defeated at the polls only to have to suffer an endless stream of weeping freepers who come to cheer you up and blame everything on Clinton's schwantz.

Couldn't happen to a more deserving fellow. Perhaps he'll think he's lucky he's not in jail.

2. Bull headed, stupid policies work
Bring em on! It shows you are a man when you do not "give in". That you are stupidly clinging ,bull headedly to proven failed policies does not matter. What matters is the selling of the image of the tough talking cowboy from Crawford scrub brush ranch. That, is what is really important to George Bush, the shallow and dumb.

5. Too true. As Michael Deaver said,
turn the volume all the way down and watch the pictures.

The solution to this may come the day there are pictures of Shrub in a weeping, fetal ball beside Marine-1 whimpering "I can't, I can't, I'm just a media creation . . . Mommy? Daddy? . . .".

3. Isn't That The Best Indicator Of Insanity?
Keep doing the same thing over and over, in the belief that next time the result will be different?

Explains a lot about this insane "Administration"

4. Nothing like diggina hole and covering yourself with the dirt.
Hope upon hope that someone will come along while the dirt is only up to your neck and help pull you out.
