3. "Obama does not support the House in some of its biggest disputes with the upper chamber"
Let's hope the Progressive Caucus grows and spine and refuses to support Obama in some of his biggest agreements with the upper chamber.

34. Effective silliness I am sure. It is not that corporations are mean
but they owe no allegiance to country or community and are motivated primarily by greed and corrupt our public officials.

If you want to cry silly tears for your corporations then demand reform, regulation and bust up the too big to fails.

You know full well that anytime anyone expresses anger toward the corporations it is not directed at all of them.

Anyway, thank you for lowering the level of discourse with this childish derision.

11. Eye on the prize
this is what happens when you have a single focus, and that focus is "PASS SOMETHING" as opposed to "DO WHAT IS RIGHT".

Obama does not have enough experience to know that is legacy will NOT be written in four years, but long after that, and based on the courage to do the right thing. This will be an historic bill - historic failure...

31. Will be harder for Republicans to challenge during the campaign seasons
when so many of their ideas and loopholes are embedded in a New Dem Deal.

But hey, we secured future campaign contributions from the corporations with the deepest pockets.

36. Obama said that any plan he signed would include a public option.
Edited on Fri Jan-15-10 03:57 PM by Zorra
Was he lying to us? If it turns out that he was lying, I suggest we attempt to nominate a different Democratic presidential candidate that has more integrity to run in the next presidential election.

July 20, 2009: Any plan I sign must include an insurance exchange: a one-stop shopping marketplace where you can compare the benefits, cost and track records of a variety of plans - including a public option to increase competition and keep insurance companies honest - and choose what's best for your family.
