Top US officer fears Taliban-Pakistan militants
By ANNE GEARAN and AMIR SHAH (AP) – 58 minutes ago

KABUL — America's top military officer is expressing concern about the "growing level of collusion" between Taliban insurgents in Afghanistan and al-Qaida and other militants across the border in Pakistan.

Adm. Mike Mullen told reporters Monday that he will discuss the issue with Pakistani authorities during talks in Islamabad later this week. Mullen made the comments after arriving in Kabul to discuss the upcoming U.S. troop surge.

2. Yes -- everything West of the Durand line should join
Afghanistan. This will eliminate Pakistan's tribal belt and it will become Afghan territory where US military can then freely roam.

It will also weaken Pakistan by depriving it of its best soldiers.
