1. Suicide
or accident? Whenever they say accident nowadays it can't be trusted.

2. How did he die?
The only thing I can guess is that he got into an argument with another U.S. Soldier and was killed. Anyone else have an idea?

6. Perhaps non-combat is when you lose a gunfight.....
without fireing a shot. Or perhaps when no bad guys get killed.

Seriously, I would imagine there is a great deal of infighting with morale so low and soldiers so young. rummy would say we can expect more of that before the oil runs out.

7. Soldiers have also fallen asleep and their weapons discharged
Edited on Wed Jul-09-03 01:13 AM by Solly Mack
and YES, that can and does happen. My husband caught one of his soldiers asleep in his hole, leaning against his rifle and his finger was on the trigger...my husband removed the soldiers finger while gently nudging him..after the soldier was out of the hole and his weapon secured, my hubby took the remainder of the duty to allow his soldier to sleep. My husband was livid but mainly because he resents every single death and he tells his soldiers..don't you dare die for Bush.

They are all beyond tired and deaths are resulting from their exhaustion.
