Club for Growth goes after Crist
Source: MSNBC

You just knew this was coming... The Club for Growth, which spent about $1 million in NY-23 to boost Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman -- who eventually lost to the Democrat -- is back at it.

It is pushing for Marco Rubio over Charlie Crist in the Florida GOP primary. And now it created the below video, hitting Crist on his support for the stimulus back in February in an appearance with President Obama. The video is appearing online for now, but a spokesman says it will be going on air with it "soon."

The ad was created as a response to Crist's appearance on CNN, in which he tried to parse his own support for the stimulus.

"I didn't endorse it," Crist said. "I didn't even have a vote on the darned thing. But I understood that it was going to pass and I wanted to be able to utilize it for the benefit of my fellow Floridians."

1. Link to donate
Here's a link to donate to the Club for Growth. :P
http://www.clubforgrowth.org/ (oddly, seems to be down)

May they 'work their magic' in many other states, and spoil many other elections for the republicans...

7. club for growth sounds like a fungus-support group
I support 'growths' - just as long as they don't take over the grout behind the sink

2. Keep going, Club For Growth
Split that Republican vote. Help make the GOP even more of a minority.

13. My feeling is the people that
vote for conservative candidates will be disappointed with Rubio and other conservative candidates if they win. That's why S. Palin will never run for office again or why right wing talkers on the radio never run for office themselves. Their kind of conservatism will fail and has always failed, just look at the last 8 years.

Seems as though Crist is trying to have it both ways in more ways than one.

11. The SP Times rated Crist "liar pants on fire" on Politifact...
Actually, I hope they get rid of Crist. It would be easier to run against Rubio - he has lots of skeletons and is pretty extreme. Crist has only been popular because he "pretends" to be more progressive than he is and some voters fall for it. Crist is big-time in the pockets of the insurance and investment companies. Crist also overlooked lots of Jeb's illegal manipulations of the state dollars (being investigated now). Rubio could be defeated by a good Democratic candidate because the independents won't go for him most likely. In actual fact, Rubio is backed by some big dollars, but he doesn't get as much support from the regular folks, so his war chest is likely limited unless he cheats on the donation laws - but that's pretty typical here.

14. Rush's fill in yesterday said
basically that the hard right going after moderates as they did in NY-23 was "insanity". He said what many in the GOP know but won't talk about. The insanity in their party that masquerades as ideological politics.

Well he's gonna get a spanking from the fat guy when Rush comes back from molesting little children and farm animals.
