Iran MPs demand Mousavi prosecution

TEHRAN, Iran — Some 100 Iranian MPs are demanding the prosecution of opposition leader Mir Hossein Mousavi, saying he committed a "national crime" by challenging the result of the June presidential election, state media said on Tuesday.

"Today, a letter with the signatures of around 100 MPs complaining against Mir Hossein Mousavi was handed over to Iran prosecutor Gholam Hossein Mohsen Ejeie," the official IRNA news agency quoted lawmaker Hamid Rasaie as saying.

He said the letter mentions that Mousavi by "his actions has harmed the reputation of the regime and public property".

1. That is most unwise. Iran will have Hope with or without Mousavi to lead them down that path.
