Former Cabinet Minister charged in Courier Cyclists death

A former high profile cabinet minister and Attorney General for Ontario was charged with criminal negligence and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle in the death of a courier cyclist.
There had been an altercation between the AG and the cyclist. It escalated and the cyclist went up to the car window to confront Michael Bryant (the AG) and was dragged a considerable distance before he let go and was run over by the car's rear tires.
Apparently, Bryant was trying to brush him off against mailboxes and trees to try and release him. He crossed lanes of traffic going the wrong way at one point and up curbs.
There was a large protest from fellow cyclists on Bloor street Toronto where the incident took place Monday nite.
Bicycles were laid on the street as a symbol of their respect for their friend who died.
