34. I agree completely.
I am shocked at the number of people here who seem to oppose this. It is almost as if they support people punishing others after they serve their time and debt to society.

I hope he gets booed off the field.

Edit to add: Furthermore, I hope any franchise that hires him is boycotted.

even if they didn't have a QB- the Steelers are still owned by a class act (just ask Bam Morris)

all what is wrong with this country - Michael Vick makes me puke
He is a degenerate human being -

There are no words for the revulsion I have for him and the people who will actually pay money to see his act

4. His first game
So, do you think that any of the opposing players who own dogs might help even the score at the first game?

I've heard several players (not schooled enough in football to remember their names unfortunately) who came out and publicly condemned what Vick had done. I want THOSE guys to be on the field with him.

11. One of the Seahawks formerly played with Vick and has a very much loved yellow Lab
I can't even imagine what he thought about all this, but interestingly, I've never read an interview with any comments from him on Vick.

If you'd like to read about Patrick Kerney's dog, Rivers, you'll enjoy the following!

9. You know what I hope?
That a lot of very large, very angry NFL players are also dog-owners/lovers. And I hope when they see Vick on the field, they step on the gas and go right through him.

31. You can beat your wife or woman, kill someone while DUI,
kill someone, be involved in illegal gambling, take illegal drugs and get off scott free. But being a black quarterback (yes, I said it) quaterbacks hold a special standing in this nation... involved in a system that was culturally acceptable until recently, though nasty, involving the mistreatment and killing of dogs while hunters continue to get licenses to kill helpless and harmless animals still, serve time, be denied your professional livelihood and still be maligned by the media and many of the public. It's unreal. I love dogs and have two...but this shit about Vic is insane to me. I value human life much more than my dogs'. Do folks realize that there are places in this world were dogs are eaten? Flame away!

33. Fail.
Comparing hunting (unless it's purely trophy hunting, and even then it is still hardly comparable) to dogfighting is completely ridiculous.

Your other assertions are also ridiculous. Murder, assault, and the other crimes you listed are illegal and only in isolated cases do people "get away" with stuff. If Michael Vick had killed someone, he would certainly never play in the NFL again. His skin color makes no difference.
