Palin backers raising funds for her legal defense
Source: AP

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) — Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's supporters are holding a Web-a-thon to raise money for her legal defense fund.

Organizers of Conservatives4Palin say they hope to raise more than $500,000 in a week.

Palin has said she has amassed more than that in legal fees while fighting ethics complaints. She also incurred legal fees during last fall's Troopergate investigation into her firing of Alaska's public safety commissioner.

The legal defense fund was established in April.

According to the campaign's Web site — http://www.conservatives4palin.com — more than $50,000 had been raised by Tuesday morning. The Web-a-thon started Monday.

1. If she accepts the money, it will be a violation of Alaskan ethic laws

She continues with the circular firing squad.

4. Well, there's a gift that keeps on giving.
She's continually in need of legal defense. Nor does she care about ethics laws, so she'll accept the money, so perhaps have further charges filed, so need more defense money, so accept more, so ... ;-)

Meanwhile, it's a political gift that keeps on giving to Dems.

7. What is it with the poor?
Edited on Tue Jun-16-09 12:02 PM by Politicalboi
They go out and protest with tea bags for the rich, now they help defend a rich bitch when they themselves can't feed their own family. Don't they realize what they are doing. Oh that's right they're Republican, and nothing goes better with Republican like stupid.
And WTF is this?

Email us at: [email protected]
to let us know how much you donated
so that we can keep track of the amount raised.

They don't track the money? I was tempted to "donate" $446,000 to get the amount she needed like Homer did to PBS with Betty White. LOL! Now back to our regular programing.

9. If she wasn't corrupt they wouldn't have to pay for her legal fees
She wouldn't have court costs. Can they not figure that out?

11. I'd be curious to know how many actual contributors that $50K represents.
Would that be $25K from Shell and $25K from Exxon or is it $10 each from 5,000 people?

If I had to guess, I'm thinking there are not gonna be terribly many of the $10 donations.
