Possible earthquake in Mexico
Source: MSNBC

According to MSNBC, buildings are shaking in Mexico, indicating a possible earthquake. MSNBC is quoting breaking news from Reuters. No more info at present.

9. it says Sunday, but the date is April 27, which is today in this hemisphere....
I think we'd have more info if the quake happened yesterday. I suspect it's a typo.

This is breaking news on MSNBC,CNN,and HLN. Epicenter SW of Mexico City, 5.8 quake.

I dunno-- it says sunday, april 27. Today is MONDAY April 27. I think someone was in a hurry and made a typo. :hi: back atcha'!

20. BBC: Earthquake hits southern Mexico

A strong earthquake has struck south of Mexico's capital, Mexico City, causing buildings to shake and prompting workers to rush out on to the streets.

The quake had a magnitude of 5.6, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS).

The USGS said the quake had hit 240km (150 miles) south of the capital. There were no reports of injuries.

The tremeor struck at about 1145 local time (1645 GMT) and was centred near the southern city of Chilpancingo.

The USGS initially measured the earthquake's magnitude at 6.0 but later revised the figure down to 5.6.
