Maryline Blackburn, woman who beat Sarah Palin for Miss Alaska title, to perform at inaugural balls

By KORIN MILLER

Former Miss Alaska Maryline Blackburn, who beat Sarah Palin for the crown, is set to perform at two inaugural balls Tuesday.

Sarah Palin is NOT going to be thrilled with this.

The woman who edged out the former veep candidate for the title of Miss Alaska 1984 is slotted to perform at not one, but two inaugural balls in Washington, D.C.

Maryline Blackburn, who eventually traded in her tiara for a career as a professional singer, plans to celebrate Barack Obama's ascension to the presidency with gigs at swanky bashes hosted by star musicians Ludacris and Dionne Warwick.

Meanwhile Palin is back in Alaska battling a state deficit.

21. Maybe McCain should have picked Maryline Blackburn instead of Sara Palin
It certainly wouldn't have made it any worse for them.

37. She couldn't really have been less qualified.
Seriously. I bet any half intelligent person could do better than Sarah Palin, even though she has all that "experience" as a Gov.

Experience doing a crappy job.

19. Hmmm, if Sassy Sarah saw all the hoopla and
pomp and circumstance firsthand, she'd probably thirst and hunger for the presidency even more. There's no telling what Nutsy Fagan and her 63,000 Palinistas would do to make that happen. LOL!

BTW, I wonder if she was invited to the dinner for John McCain last night. Hmmm.

I bet she's wishing she didn't give out that extra $2400/person - or whatever outrageous amount that was. There's a reason why governments need a rainy day fund... Counter to Republican thought.

Because I would hate to have even the SLIGHTEST thing in common with Governor Grifter. If "Bad Person" is taken, I guess I'll just have to go with "Princess Schadenfreude" ;).
