Car bomb kills 22, wounds 54 in Baghdad
27 Dec 2008 11:12:01 GMT

BAGHDAD, Dec 27 (Reuters) - A car bomb killed at
least 22 people and wounded 54 more when it exploded
at a Baghdad bus station on Saturday, a security
official said.

The bomb occurred in the Shi'ite district of Kadhimiya
in northwestern Baghdad, where people typically gather
at a major Shi'ite mosque on Saturdays, said Major-
General Qassim Moussawi, spokesman for security
operations in Baghdad.

The U.S. military said the blast took place just
after noon. Women and children were among those
killed, police said.

Violence has dropped sharply in Iraq over the past
year, but car bombs, assassinations and other attacks
still shake Baghdad and other parts of Iraq routinely.

On Dec. 17, successive bomb blasts in central Baghdad
killed 18 people and wounded over 50.

1. OMG - what a horror & fail is this needless, lie-based republicon war
Republicons will have the ugly karma of this lie-based Oil Profits Crusade on their 'soul' for eons. So many have died, for so pathetic a pack of lies told by republicon chickenhawks like Commander AWOL Bush and VP Dick 'Five Military Deferments' Cheney.

Ptoooey on the republicons, their lies, and the deaths and maimings and squanderings they have caused. For no good cause.

2. But But But
The surge worked and everything that's gone wrong is because of Clinton's libido.

4. Iraq? Now where have I heard that word before? Iraq. Isn't that a country?
And wasn't there a time when it used to be in the news everyday? If I recall, that's when the stories were of victory and toppling statues. Then the news started to get sparse. Somewhere when we obliterated a place called Fallujah. And it's been getting quieter and quieter. Why, I don't believe Americans die over there anymore. And hell, if a few Iraqis happen to be in the wrong place at the..., well, you get what I mean.
