Perriello (D) Wins (VA) House Seat

The State Board of Elections certified Virginia's Nov. 4 election results, which includes a win for Democrat Tom Perriello over Rep. Virgil H. Goode Jr., a longtime incumbent in southern Virginia.

Goode has not conceded the close race and has 10 days to ask for a recount. Calls to his spokesman were not immediately returned.

"The citizens of the fifth district have spoken, every vote has been counted and certified, and they have elected Tom Perriello to be their new representative in Washington to bring the change and economic recovery they need,'' said Jessica Barba, a Perriello spokeswoman..

8. I live down by Yanceyville NC, I met Mr Perriello at the

Biden even held at the Community market. While I have not met Mr Goode, I had a good impression of Mr. Periello. .. Mr. Biden was at this point something like 2 hrs late, My aide dog was in the car too, and not fair to leave her for so long.
I spoke with a few women in Dville prior to this (who had seen the Vets for Obama sticker on my truck) one who said she would vote for Goode, but would be voting for Mr. Obama..That Mac and Palin scared her, if Mrs. P is a Christian I don't know what kind she is one said.
PS I am Revs partner..Im not as nice as he is..

My partner went to the Biden rally and met Periello and said he seems like a real stand-up guy. Glad to hear our neighbors to the north in Pittsylvania are going blue too!! Along with Caswell County, we're making a little blue swath into that big red splotch.

As for Goode, goode riddance, heh! If he has a lick of sense, he'll hush and stay gone.
