McCain: 'We're Proud of That Commercial' (Obama "celeb" ad)
Source: ABC News

<snip>

At a town hall meeting in Racine, Wisc., Republican Sen. John McCain tried to steer clear. But a young voter wouldn't let him off the hook.

"It seems to me that you've flip flopped," she said, referring to McCain's promises to run a clean campaign on the issues.

McCain defended the ad. "All I can say is we’re proud of that commercial," McCain said. "We think Americans need to know that I believe that we should base this campaign on what we can do for Americans at home and how we can make Americans safe and prosperous and that’s the theme of our campaign."

"I respect and admire sen Obama, but we have stark differences," McCain said. "And those differences need to be drawn."

3. Stark difference that needs to be pointed out to everyone: Obama is of the
21st. Century and popular with new ideas. McCain is stuck in the 20th. Century with the same old, same old ideas that have led us into this mess.

10. I'm not surprised he and his campaign are proud of that ad.
It is amazing, maybe even a feat, that anyone would be able to take Obama's Berlin speech, as positive and inspiring as it was, and find a way to minimize it.

Last week mccane was boo-hooing over Obama's press coverage, whining about showing up in New Hampshire with only one reporter there to greet him, and standing next to hw when even he admitted to being envious of Obama's overseas reception. That he could spin it to a negative, well that is a sleazy, typical repub. accomplishment.
