Rove as a pundit raises suspicions
Source: IHT

WASHINGTON: Late Thursday night, Karl Rove, "the architect" of the last two Republican presidential victories, was on his new television perch at Fox News, offering free advice to Senator Barack Obama as he closed in on the Democratic nomination.

Any move by Obama to declare victory before the last of the Democratic primaries in June, Rove said, would alienate Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton's wing of the party. "That's a mistake," he said.

"That just is rubbing the loser's nose in it. And a lot of those supporters will remember it by November."

In the Obama campaign war room in Chicago, where Rove's talking head was just one of several across six television screens, his counsel was taken with a heavy dose of salt.

Yeah, right, maybe "the architect" should roll out some of his 'uniter' strategies.

41. Elected by an absolutely cretinous public with the help of massive "private" propaganda outlets
Edited on Mon May-12-08 12:31 PM by ryanmuegge
Not really that big of a deal. Also, he didn't even really get them elected; rather, he simply got the numbers within a stealable margin (which in and of itself says something the American public's shocking level of ignorance).

The propaganda outlets - MSNBC, CNN, FOX (in particular), TBN (and all other Christian channels), and most major newspapers certainly helped Rove's efforts by trivializing and obfuscating issues while giving Bush uniformly positive coverage.

They have some of the strangest commentators, and it's obvious they continue to hire to that standard.

Why isn't Rove getting prepared for his upcoming Siegelmann trial...the hearings that are scheduled, which require his presence...helping McCain find his bearings?

Edited on Mon May-12-08 07:47 AM by Gman
that Obamabots should listen to. The move last week to declare Obama the winner here at DU just made me all the more determined to just sit on my hands in November, which I plan to do right now. A conversation I had in early March with an Obama national staffer where he was trying to explain to me how Hillary had no chance was when I first started filling up my calendar after Labor Day. Obama doesn't think he needs us Hillary people. That's just fine with me. Have fun, bucko.

to others give campaign advice? He has run a great campaign
already and he and his team seem way ahead of the curve.

Please, Please reconsider about not voting for Obama or sitting the election out, either way you choose to go you are enabling the right wing Fascists to continue the assault on our country and our constitution. You know McCain has talked about other wars and the bombing of Iran, do you really want the blood and suffering of innocent people on your hands as the result of your inaction and the inaction of other voters like you?

32. First of all!
You are offensive calling all Obama supporters, Obamabots...like we are some kind of remote controlled toy...second...not all Obama supporters were involved with this, third...the candidate did not ask for this....You want to attribute every thing a supporter does to Obama as if HE Did it. That is just plain irrational...go ahead and sit on your hands if it makes you feel good. I am used to children pitching temper tantrums, but adults doing it is completely unbecoming. And lastly to your statement "Obama doesn't think he needs us Hillary people" Did you pull that out of your rear? He clearly said that he does and that he needs to work hard to win over her supporters and reunite the party if and when he is the nominee.

17. Just to show how far we've slide
Why is this man not in jail instead of on TV?

This nation is a joke.

This site is a joke.

We're a joke.

Every one of these bastards should have already been convicted of treason, but instead we have degenerated so far as to not only have not held them accountable, but instead these villains are awarded with pulpits, medals and golden-parachute jobs. We have become all that we use to be against. We are the terrorists. We are the criminals. We are the torturers. We are the rapists. We are the murders. We let them get away with it. We are the enablers.

This piss-ant site is part of the problem too. It shies away and hide real hard truths. You hide 9/11, election fraud as if they didn't exist, when in fact they're at the heart of everything that is effecting us. You're cowards, much like the Democratic Party you profess to love you dance around real issues, blow smoke about things that don't really matter and profess you're doing good. Bullshit. If the Democratic Party were any better than the Republican Party than why haven't they stopped this war? Why haven't they impeached? Why haven't they enforced the many subpoenas? Why haven't they held hearings that have produced anything but fained indignation?

I can tell you why - because the Democratic Party is as corrupt as Republicans and your Obama or Clinton are as deep in the cesspool as any, and any of you that think otherwise are fools or worse. I'm sick of your Melba Toast approach to everything. When we need rocks, you throw marsh-mellows.

Cancelled DIsh as I was tired of paying 50+ bucks a month for the occasional good program on FSTV. TV pretty much stays off. I get info from the internet. I catch highlights of Colbert and Stewart from the blogs and donwload the occasional South Park from Itunes. Im done with TV. Oh I do have to catch the nightly Seinfeld reruns on the local station...thats about it.
