Gulf NewsAbu Dhabi: The UAE will set up an agency to assess and develop a peaceful and "fully transparent" nuclear energy programme, WAM reported on Sunday.
The decision to establish the agency, with an initial capital of Dh375 million, follows an agreement signed with France in January to help the UAE develop a peaceful programme that will not include the process of enriching uranium, the most sensitive part of the project. Instead, the UAE will import the nuclear fuel from "a trusted foreign source", WAM said.

I really don't see the need for nuclear here... gives me the willies knowing how my mechanics treat my car much less a power plant! Yikes!
