Fort Drum soldier killed by post police
Source: Watertown Daily Times

FORT DRUM - A 10th Mountain Division soldier was shot and killed by a Fort Drum police officer during a domestic disturbance incident here Feb. 9.

At approximately 1:30 a.m. Fort Drum emergency services received a 911 hang-up call from an on-post residence. Two Fort Drum police officers, one military policeman and one Department of the Army civilian police officer, responded to the residence. The responding officers made contact with the soldier and his spouse.

The soldier later produced a concealed weapon and subdued the two responding police officers.

A second civilian Fort Drum police officer responded to the scene and heard a gunshot upon entering the residence. After a discussion with the soldier, the second responding officer heard a second gunshot, entered the residence and discharged his weapon, hitting the Soldier several times.

1. Have gun will use? What happened to tear gas?
Over the top use of force. This soldier may have had mental problems from Iraq, etc.

6. The shooting started with everyone already inside.
When the soldier started shooting, the police responded in self-defense. It is a shame that they cops were put into that situation, but they did the right thing.

innocents in the Middle East. Our Congress is a bunch of cold hearted creeps. They think death is a thing they must put up with to get Empire? They may be on the other end someday. Think of Wellstone, Sharon, etc.

Millions have died because of our corrupt, corporatist, rulers. It's no longer acceptable to us and the world citizens. We can not continue down this path of destruction without ruining all we have.
