Fatal bomb blast hits Colombo
Source: al Jazeera/Agencies

At least six people have been killed and about 90 others injured in a suicide bomb attack in Sri Lanka's capital Colombo, police and hospital sources have said.

Pushpa Soysa, a nurse at Colombo National Hospital, said 95 people had been taken for treatment after the blast at the main Fort railway station on Sunday.

A police spokesman said the attack had been carried out by a woman.

"It is a suicide blast on platform three. The bomber has got down from a train and exploded," Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara, military spokesman said.

women sucide bombers(who were mentally impaired and likely didn't know they were going to explode), last week.

This sounds like it's just starting.

Yes, I know it's two completely different countries, but I expected terrorists all over to start using women like this. They're only a week apart ya know.

6. They are completely unrelated
The Sri Lanka situation is a civil war that has gone on - with varying intensities - for over 30 years. There was a truce that was continually violated until recently. It was monitored by the Norwegians.

They are not copying Iraq. Per a close relative studying there, the situation is actually better thought of as Israel's situation.

7. I think most 5 year olds wouldn't have come to the conclusion that I
think they're copying iraq. I think they would have come to the conclusion that I'm pointing out using WOMEN as SUCIDE BOMBERS to get anyones point across has come into fashion.

I don't know WHY **YOU** keep missing that and going on political differences comparisons. But whatever....

8. Again, I'm sorry, but you're wrong

**WOMEN** suicide bombers have been used by the Tamil Tigers in Sri Lanka and India for almost 20 years. Let me say that again in caps so that you hear me:

WOMEN HAVE BEEN USED AS SUICIDE BOMBERS IN SRI LANKA FOR ALMOST TWO DECADES

It was a woman who blew up herself and PM Rajiv Gandhi in 1991.

Chechen rebels have used women since at least 2004.

These two events - women bombers in Iraq and Sri Lanka within a week of each other - are *completely* unrelated. It is not, as you say, coming into fashion. It has been around for years.

And years.

And a few more years before that, too.

The only person missing anything here is you. And please do not compare us to five year olds until you have your facts straight.

On edit: this is a little snarky. For that I apologize, but not for the substance.
