Poll: Clinton recaptures lead in New Hampshire
Source: CNN

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Hillary Clinton appears to have recaptured the lead among Democratic candidates in New Hampshire, according to results of a new CNN/WMUR poll, conducted by the University of New Hampshire.

Clinton was virtually tied with Illinois Sen. Barack Obama in last week's New Hampshire poll, along with several other recent surveys.

But in the Wednesday poll, the New York senator now has a 12-point lead over Obama -- 38 percent to 26 percent.

Former North Carolina Sen. John Edwards is in third place with 14 percent, with the remaining Democratic hopefuls in single digits, according to the poll.

1. Oh Please!
You don't go from first place to 12 points behind in 10 days unless there's a major scandal. WMUR, our local TV station, is as conservative as you can get. Sorry, but this one stinks to high heaven.

7. UNH poll
The UNH/CNN/WMUR poll has NEVER shown Obama in the lead. Hillary has always run higher in this poll than in any other.

Also, keep in mind that this poll is run by Andy Smith. Smith is the genius who failed to predict Carol Shea-Porter's upset win in the 2006 congressional primary because he refused to include her in the poll, thinking she wasn't serious because the Sheheens and the smart DC money was with another candidate.

2. Polls that shift this much aren't credible.
Not enough controls on the sample base, IMO.

3. Happy Dance! You go girl!!
The polls will see-saw back and forth until the nominee is chosen. I expect that. And to those that will make nasty comments regarding this poll and regarding my post: Calling me names because of whom I support does nothing to win anyone over to your side, it only makes me solidify my support even more... because I won't support someone whose supporters are mean. So think about that the next time you trash Senator Clinton's supporters. If your goal is to bring people to your candidate, then talk about why your candidate is great. Trashing someone else's candidate doesn't help your candidate at all... it hurts them. It's one thing to decently disagree or to point out how your candidate differs, it's quite another to go for the Karl Rove slash n' burn, Swiftboater, Newsmax, Rush Limbaugh, style of persuasion. The more I see the ugly attacks on Senator Clinton, the more I believe those people are not trying to get more votes for their candidate, nor to win voters over to their side. I truly believe that their sole purpose here is to destroy Hillary Clinton, at all costs. And I'm trying to figure out what makes them any better than the people or places I listed above. When I find that the attacks here on Senator Clinton and her supporters are uglier than what I've seen from the ruthuglicans, it makes me want to cry.

6. Look at the issuue by issue break down
and Clinton appears to have the edge in every area. I think she is worried about losing Iowa and is putting lots of resources into NH as insurance. I expect the top 3 in Iowa to be pretty close. Clinton may not win, but I doubt if she will be blown out.
