Three U.S. soldiers killed north of Baghdad-army

Baghdad, Dec 5, (VOI) - The U.S. army said on Wednesday three service members were killed during combat operations north of Baghdad.
"Two Multi-National Division-North Soldiers were killed as a result of injuries sustained from a complex attack involving an improvised explosive device and small arms fire while conducting operations in Salah al-Din province, Dec. 4," the U.S. army said in a statement received by the independent news agency Voices of Iraq (VOI).

The statement added that two soldiers were wounded as a result of the same attack and transported to a U.S. medical facility to receive treatment
Later and in another statement, the army announced the death of a third soldier who sustained injuries in the Salah al-Din province incident.

"A Multi-National Division – North Soldier died Dec. 5 as a result of wounds sustained from an attack involving an improvised explosive device and small-arms fire while conducting operations in Salah al-Din province Dec. 4," the U.S. army said.
The deaths bring the number of the U.S. troops killed in Iraq since the U.S.-led invasion in March 2003 to 3,886, according to statistics released by the U.S. army.
Five soldiers have been killed in December so far.

1. Very sad. Getting close to Christmas, there will be some very bad news
for some families. Wish this shit were over. God bless and RIP to these soldiers.
