Conservative Talk Meets Its Match with the Debut of The Ed Schultz Show
WASHINGTON, Jan. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- With the 2004 political campaign season underway, a new, progressive talk radio voice is emerging from the Heartland. Ed Schultz, the progressive radio talk show host from the Midwest, launched his national show from Fargo, N.D. with the January 5 debut of The Ed Schultz Show.
Schultz's inaugural three-hour show included four high profile guests -- Senators Tom Daschle, Hillary Rodham Clinton and Byron Dorgan, as well as Democratic Presidential candidate Howard Dean. Also expected in this week's lineup are presidential hopefuls Richard Gephardt, Wesley Clark and Joe Lieberman. The national show airs Monday through Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. EST.
"There is a conservative mantra on talk radio in this country," notes Schultz. "We want to tell the other side of the story." In a political year, Ed Schultz is committed to expanding the debate heard on talk radio so that the medium once again serves as a legitimate forum to educate and inform Americans.
