Missing Keys At U.S. Nuke Labs
The Energy Department is conducting a widespread review of security at America's nuclear weapons laboratories after reports of hundreds of missing keys, some of which could allow access to sensitive areas.

Sources tell CBS News that lock and key experts will begin visiting all U.S. nuclear labs next month to assess the problem of missing keys and apparent security lapses, reports CBS News Correspondent Sharyl Attkisson.

The review follows reports last summer that Oak Ridge National Laboratory had reported "a number" of keys missing.

In fact, 200 keys were missing.

2. How much do you think I could get for one on eBay?
I've got one that says 'George Bush - No Clearance' on it. Do you think they don't trust him?

5. what the hell???
"In response to the reports, the Energy Department is launching a "lock and key inventory" to try to pinpoint the extent of the security breach. Sources say it will be a "top to bottom review" at all the nation's nuclear weapons labs."

Here's a thought...and bare with me since I'm just a silly little citizen and all, but perhaps it would be safer to change all the locks instead of doing some stupid "lock and key inventory"??? If they finally recover all the keys, are they certain none of them have been duplicated?

during Clinton's term.....with Richardson heading Energy.

otherwise this might make me a little nervous!

that was a smart move, Bush, luring all those al Qaeda folks into Iraq, taking the fight TO THEM, now we know for sure that those missing keyes don't belong to terrorists!

:toast: to Bush's foresight

/hopefully blatant sarcasm
