Bush urges people to exercise

WASHINGTON - President Bush, an avid mountain bike rider, says rigorous exercise is great for the mind and body.

Asked in a network broadcast interview about people who say they're too busy to exercise regularly, Bush said, "I don't buy that. I think you set priorities in life, and if exercise is one of your priorities, then you do it."

"I'm amazed at how young I feel," Bush, 60, told CBS's "The Early Show" in an interview broadcast Thursday.

The president, who regularly goes mountain biking, said "I wisely have convinced a bunch of youngsters here in the White House and Washington to ride with me."

8. I work no less than 60 hrs a week. My husband and I work opposite
shifts to offset daycare costs. I still have to maintain a household and thankfully I have a husband who helps. I'm tired the moment I get up, until the moment I go to sleep. I do make sure there is healthy organic food in the house, but often I don't have the time to actully make it to a gym. But I do try to get to the park a couple of times a week. That way I can go outside and let the kid play.

Its not easy to work in excercise when you feel like you are constantly working out every moment your awake. I have found that yoga is something I can do a bit more easily on my own time. But I know I don't get to do it often enough.

unless you are practicing Jesus brand evangelical Yoga!

Seriously though, it sounds like you and your SO do all that is possible to provide for your child...with limited incomes.

And all you get from this president is "go get some exercise"?

Yeah, easy for that bastard to say. He doesn't do any other Goddamn thing.

43. This is BULLSHIT. If the elite wanted people to be healthy they would cut working hours,
or increase the holiday entitlement. It is proven by studies that if you go to the gym after work, and you are working 40 or more hours per week, you are actually killing your cells rather than improving your condition. You are working your way to a breakdown. A lot of people quit the gym because it gives them more stress than sitting at home watching TV. Exercise wouldn't give you stress if you had the free time to recover.

9. of course, those "youngsters" go with him
The president, who regularly goes mountain biking, said "I wisely have convinced a bunch of youngsters here in the White House and Washington to ride with me."

Of course, some are made to run behind him- in extreme temperatures. This man does seem to enjoy torture.

17. Not having a conscience probably keeps him "feeling young" too
If he had any sort of conscience at all he'd be in straightjacketed in a rubber room under suicide watch. But narcissitic sociopaths don't have to worry about things like guilt or remorse.

25. I want the president to exercise his mind !!!!!
The reason I want the president to exercise his mind is because I want to prevent him from developing Alzheimer's disease.

Research suggests that keeping the brain active may help stave off this horrible disease.

The reason I want to prevent President Bush from developing Alzheimer's is because when he is sitting in his jail cell in his old age, I want him to remember why he's there!

Sorry, I do heartily agree we all need get out and exercise more. That said, however, since we know shrub doesn't really give a shit about the health of the American people, I couldn't help but think of a much more sinister example this regime has been modeling most of its actions upon.

41. I urge junior
to exercise his brain cells, his neurons.
I urge him to exercise his ability to comprehend simple matters, to distinguish between fact and fiction, to understand and utilize logic whenever possible.
I urge the chimp to exercise his skills at problem solving and taking leadership.
I urge the spoiled idiot to learn the English language and apply it as often as he can.
I urge bushie to exercise his brain, rather than sit on it...even if it's on his tricycle.

And he may want to start this exercise program immediately since scientific studies have shown that male brains actually decrease in size as they age. No time like the present! :-)
