Rep. Waxman Asks Department of Transportation about Lobbying Congress

In a letter to DOT Secretary Peters, Chairman Waxman asks for documents and an interview relating to apparent efforts by the Department to lobby Members of Congress to oppose efforts by California and other states to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from motor vehicles.

2. What a horrendous headline

How it completely misses the point of the whole story.

Our Federal government is asking Congress to undermine the Environment. Our Federal government is lobbying Congress to deliberately override State's rights.

I love Waxman, but they really need to learn how to push a story.
