Bush's Seat Belt Usage Not Locked Down
Source: Associated Press

President Bush encourages people to wear seat belts. Whether he routinely does so himself is not as clear. The question arose Tuesday, Bush's first full day back in town after a weekend at his ranch in Texas where he was spotted driving a pickup truck without wearing a seat belt.

The timing comes just as Bush's government is sending the opposite message. This week marks the launch of law enforcement's annual seat belt campaign, known as "Click It or Ticket."

Showing once again that he thinks laws do not apply to him.

5. Big fucking deal
:eyes:

I hate the Chimperor, but this is a MEANINGLESS story.

You don't have to wear a seatbelt on private property.

Ugh.

There is SO FUCKING MUCH to complain about with this guy and some jackass is concerned about whether he wears his seatbelt or not.

Has it occurred to anyone that we DON'T WANT this guy to wear a seatbelt?

14. I was thinking more along the lines.......
of being impaled upon the steering column but through the windshield would work as well. :)

And yes, he thinks laws don't apply to him and that Jesus is going to keep him safe because he is His guy in the WH.

12. Corzine caught enough shit for it.
Shrub ought to catch his share too.

And where does it say he was on the ranch?
"upon his arrival at the Crawford Ranch in Crawford" is what it says. Do they let him drive from wherever AF1 parks? And besides, he's supposed to be an example, especially when he's in front of cameras. No wonder his administration is so full of corruption, even their leader is a scofflaw... in things small and large.

17. Blatant pandering to the non-seatbelt wearing nimrods.
When are you folks gonna realize the whole thing, every step they take, every move they make is choreographed, right down to his bowlegged, palms back, monkey gait.

Get clued in please, thanks.

18. junior is above the law!
He don't need no stinkin' seat belt!

I really don't care whether he wears a belt, nor do I care whether the vehicle he's in obeys the speed limit. ;-)

20. It's not illegal.
He was not on a public street or highway. The seat belt laws, in my state at least and I believe in all states, do not apply to private property.

21. It's not illegal for him not to wear one on the pig farm. But he is setting a bad example.
What will we tell the children?
