Update: 3 exit polls give Correa big lead
Edited on Sun Nov-26-06 07:18 PM by antiimperialist

Leftist candidate and Hugo Chavez' buddy won the elections.
As you can see, the first poll in the list of four must be a rigged opposition poll seeking to contradict the real voter preference.

1. The first one does not even add up to 100
Who did the rest vote for? Me?

2. Reminds me of "Penn and Schoenn"
the exit poll that nailed the venezuelan referendum results (backwards), in an apparent coordinated misinformation campaign aimed at misleading the world into believing the elections there were fixed.

The same Penn and Schoenn released a poll a few days ago that claimed to show Chavez leading Rosales by 2 pts., even though all other independent polls predict a 30-plus Chavez lead.

3. The first one is probably rigged, but the numbers are switched in that graphic...
"La empresa Consultar también ha dado como vencedor de los comicios -y por consiguiente el próximo presidente de la República- a Correa con el 42 por ciento de los votos, frente a su rival Noboa que sólo se hace con el 36 por ciento de los sufragios. Hasta el momento no se ha pronunciado ningún candidato sobre los resultados extraoficiales."

La Vanguardia from Spain is saying Consultar has Correa ahead 42% - 36%, which still doesn't add up to 100% but the graphic is wrong.

4. Funny
Correa has pledged to shut down the U.S. military base in Manta, where 400 U.S. soldiers are stationed as part of the Eloy Alfaro Air Base. Though he has also jokingly stated that “We can negotiate with the U.S. about a base in Manta, and if they let us put a military base in Miami, if there is no problem, we’ll accept".

7. He won by a landslide
The young, handsome, charismatic Correa vs. the old, ugly Dick Cheney look-alike who got rich from exploiting child labor.

Wow, its gonna be a close one. NOT!
