Nairobi climate talks end in deal

There is no deal on another round of mandatory cuts in emissions to follow the Kyoto Protocol, and no firm timetable for negotiating cuts.

Environment and development groups say the measures presented here do not match the scale of the problem.

The world's so call leaders are doing Nothing about the biggest threat to everyone's lives and our future. And they will continue to do nothing until they get the message that the political will of the people is that it is Unacceptable for them to do anything but make a full and extensive effort to address the climate crisis.

1. Who wrote that headline? There WAS no deal.
The consensus is now moving to maybe something taking shape in 2008. Maybe.

Super, two MORE years pissed away. Add them to the six years we're already lost, heap them up like fruit on a grave.
