Former Talk Show Host Could Be Sent To Prison
HOUSTON -- A former Houston radio talk show host could be sent to prison after he was accused of violating his probation for indecency with a child, KPRC Local 2 reported.

The Fort Bend County district attorney wants Jon Matthews' probation revoked and wants him sent to prison.

Matthews pleaded guilty in August 2004 to indecency with a child by exposure after he exposed himself to a neighbor's 11-year-old daughter. He received a seven-year probated sentence.

But the state contends Matthews has violated conditions of his probation, including engaging in online chat rooms of a sexual nature against children.

In court, Judge Grady Elliot said he was also concerned that Matthews has expressed a desire to end his own life.

Mathews was 'sidekick' to Moby (Moby and Mathews in the morning) on the long-defunct 97 Rock, then resurfaced in the early 90s as a fire-breathing hate-wing propagandist on KSEV, run by fundie nutcase Dan Patrick.

2. This is not the time for the court to get soft on crime!
The right-wing wouldn't want it that way! If there's one thing they stand for, it's vigorous, uniform enforcement of the law.

Right-wing talk show perv.

6. are there ANY rightwingers who are aren't sex pervert freaks?
:wow:

Notice that this guy got a fairly merciful sentence on the original charges: probation, no jail time. Even after being granted this second chance, her still couldn't keep himself out of trouble. Now he faces real hard time: as much as ten years in prison for numerous probation violations.

Why is it that the loudest partisans of "personal responsibility" seem wholly incapable of actually demonstrating any?

7. Current Talk Show Host Could Be Sent To Prison, Too
Whose name comes to mind when I say "prescription fraud"? Or mention the drugs OxyContin and Viagra?

I'm sure his Michael J. Fox impression will be a huge hit in Cellblock H.

Wait a minute: Isn't O'Really? in legal hot water, too? They could be cellmates...

8. You can add Laura Ingraham and Ann Coulter to that list
Each for an election fraud related offense.

10. She encouraged people to jam Democratic voters' hotlines
It appears that right after she did this, there was a calling spike that nearly did shut down at least one of the hotlines.

Still under investigation.
