11. Burns, now apologize to the VA fire fighters you insulted...
VA fire fighters went to Montana to help with major fires. They were getting ready to fly out after many hard days work. Burns shows up at the airport and berates them because they didn't let ranchers join their crew and fight the fires. This is against all professional guidelines. But Burns didn't care, he had some rich buddy who complained so what does he do: go insult working people. Fuck him and his crew and, Burns, it's time -- APOLOGIZE TO THE VIRGINIA FIRE FIGHTERS YOU INSULTED.

Montana incumbent concedes tight Senate race

BILLINGS, Montana (CNN) -- Montana's Republican Sen. Conrad Burns on Thursday conceded the race to Democratic state Sen. Jon Tester, a spokesman for Burns said.

"I stand ready to help as Montana transitions to a new United States senator," Burns said in a statement to The Associated Press. "We fought the good fight and we came up just a bit short. We've had a good 18 years and I am proud of my record."

Burns did not plan any public appearances Thursday, his campaign told the AP.

"We finally felt that the numbers were stable enough," spokesman Jason Klindt said. "Yesterday there was just too much movement going on with a close election."

With 100 percent of precincts reporting, Tester leads Burns 198,302 votes (49 percent) to 195,455 votes (48 percent). (View complete results)

Tester claimed victory Wednesday with a lead of less than 3,000 of the more than 400,000 votes cast.

While the margin is slim, it was below the threshold set by Montana law that would allow Burns to request a recount.

15. I expect Tester to really rattle some cages in Washington.
I don't think he has a pretentious bone in his body.

17. I hope so - those cages haven't been touched
in years. Rusty cages are likely to crumble when shaken.

22. The reason is obvious...
If there was any serious recount effort, the election officials would barely have to scratch the surface of the Webb and Allen campaigns to discover horrendous corruption.
