TALLAHASSEE -- The $40 million civil suit in the death of 14-year-old Martin Lee Anderson will go to trial April 16 in federal court in Tallahassee, a judge said Monday.

Anderson's parents, Robert Anderson and Gina Jones, are suing the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice and Bay County Sheriff's Office.

Chief Judge Robert L. Hinkle indicated he intends to dismiss several counts in the suit, but his order doing so was not officially filed by the end of the workday Monday.

Martin Lee Anderson died Jan. 6, a day after he was restrained, hit and kneed by guards at the Bay County juvenile boot camp.

The incident was captured on video.

A second autopsy, done by Hillsborough County Medical Examiner Dr. Vernard Adams, found that Anderson died from suffocation by the guards, who forced ammonia tablets into his nose while covering his mouth.

3. True. Racism is alive and well.
And so is the believe that teens have no rights at all.

So of course this black kid is going to get tormented, abused and killed, and of course the state doesn't want to take any responsibility for it.

It's just another kind of lynching.
