KUSA-TV: Karr DNA Not A Match
http://www.kusa.com/acm_news.aspx?OSGNAME=KUSA&IKOBJECTID=5647dd32-0abe-421a-01cb-49517318e6a4&TEMPLATEID=0c76dce6-ac1f-02d8-0047-c589c01ca7bf

Also breaking on MSNBC.

Excerpt:

KUSA - 9NEWS has confirmed from two sources that the DNA taken from John Mark Karr does not match the DNA samples taken from the crime scene in the JonBenet Ramsey murder case.

Samples of Karr's saliva and hair were taken in Boulder after his arrival on Thursday. Those samples were tested over the weekend inside the Denver Police Department's Crime lab.

9NEWS has confirmed that Karr's DNA is ruled out as the foreign DNA left on JonBenet Ramsey's body when she was murdered in December 1996.

54. Would jumping bail?
be a felony thing? I don't know.

I haven't been paying attention I guess except the fact that I thought they were going to serve him an arrest on those charges if the CO murder thing was a bust...or at least that was the speculation, I heard last week, on some redneck radio segment where they had him already strung up and cold in ground.

Well...damn....they DO have to keep this guy on ice -- they are not trying hard enough!!...where are those law and order GrowOp busting State Attorneys when you need them. :grr:

40. Thailand doesn't have anything on him.
There were no charges, they were deporting him because they considered him "undesirable" (as a result of the charges in the US). And the charges in CA were dropped. The only trouble he's in now is possible counts related to his false confession.

It's very rare that a person making a false confession is charged with the crime of "making a false statement to the police".

He strikes me as an attention seeking drama queen. I could see him making a false confession to fulfill some mental issues he's got knotted up in his mind.

106. Some are, but there's a lot of crazy attention seekers out there
It's quite common in publicity-heavy cases to have one or more people come out of the woodwork and "confess" to the crime, even though they didn't do it. Likewise for people who claim to have been witnesses. That's why the police usually keep a few details of a crime secret, to have a way of determining who's a kook who watched all the TV coverage, and who might actually be involved in the case in some way. It's rare that the former actually gets prosecuted, but it is possible, and it might happen in a case where the DA wanted to save face.

why the hell the Bolder PD (or was it the state of Colorado?) took the action of starting all this? I have not been foloowing closely so I am not 100% positive Karr got the ball rolling? What exactly do we know this guy has done that would warrant keeping him "off the streets" ?

As far as we know right now, he's like Michael Jackson - a creepy weirdo, but not a criminal. There are questions to be answered, but until he's convicted of something, I wouldn't celebrate him being "off the streets."

He wasn't in Colorado during Christmas 1996!

He's definitely a pervert and obviously has serious mental problems, but he sure didn't kill JonBenet.

Now the cable news channels will spend the next few days in a huge circle jerk about this news.

Is there anything they can't talk about again and again for days? Oh that's right, real news.

is there anything else the corporate media can do to divert our attention away from the things that really matter? Like how they're fucking us up the ass by stealing our jobs and sending them to a Vietnam sweatshop or maybe how they're giving us crappy service jobs that barely pay minimum wage in return.

Oh, but it's so interesting.......so many sadly say.

70. uh, one does not prove the other
What you may have felt was that some people who think with logic and not some weird false truthiness is that Karr NOT being the killer does not in any way 'prove' the parents killed her. What DNA they do have does not match the family (or that would have been shouted from the rooftops by the Nostril (love that pic BTW :) ) of Justice et al. So, by THAT chain of 'logic', at least from what little logic you seem to use, means that not only did Karr not do it, but neither did any family member. Can you see what steps you are missing now?

police has DNA
DNA does not match family
DNA does not match Karr

The above can lead to (as far as i can see) three different conclusions;

A) A 3rd party did it and is still uncharged with this crime

B) The DNA is not from the killer at all, or is spoiled in some other way

C) The DNA had nothing to do with the crime, so it does not exonerate the family OR Karr

Can you follow that now? In NO WAY do I say no member(s) of the family in not guilty, but since their is apparently any way to prove it one way or the other, for you to baldy state 'i don't care about evidence, string 'em up' does not lend you credibility

58. This whole thing stinks.

Really, out of all times he had to be "found" it was when Judge Taylor ruled that the fascist NSA crap is unconstitutional. What little coverage the M$M would have given the wiretapping crap is now focused on Karr.

I don't know what to think anymore.

60. One question:
How many people sign letters "SBTC"? His first wife's parents said that he did that. Now, assuming those letters were not post-murder, how do you explain that?

61. I never ceased to be amazed by the stupidity of humanity
Because if this is how fucking stupid the prosecuters are-well how stupid are people? Interview his wife and find out if he was EVER IN Boulder or on that day-ohhh that's some hard detective work. The world is ruled by IDIOTS. No wonder Bush is president, and that dumb actor is a governor. HELP! And how stupid are we-hours and hours of tevee spent on this-meanwhile-there goes the constitution.

81. Karr case dropped due to DNA not matching!!!
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/14553130/?GT1=8404

BOULDER, Colo. - Prosecutors abruptly dropped their case Monday against John Mark Karr in the unsolved slaying of JonBenet Ramsey, saying DNA tests failed to put him at the crime scene despite his "repeated insistence" that he killed the 6-year-old girl.

“The warrant on Mr. Karr has been dropped by the district attorney,” public defender Seth Temin said outside the jail. “They are not proceeding with the case.”

they do the DNA test and let Thailand hold him while they sought to extradite. The could have then let the asshole go from there.

101. Did she have him all convicted and strapped on a gurney?
What am I saying? Of course she did.

I'm very glad the Colorado police decided to go step-by-step through this process and not allow themselves to be stampeded by a media blitz that was desperate to close this cold case.

But never mind all that insignificant stuff: What did Mr. Karr have to eat, and what was he wearing???

Is he a donor to ROVE?

98. But wasn't it an awfully nice distraction...
...from the U.S. failure in Iraq, the Israeli failure in Lebanon, the Lamont victory, etc.?

Tin foil time: Isn't Thailand the favorite whoring destination for little bro, Neil Bush? Wouldn't put it past Bushco to have paid Karr to play the temporary patsy, knowing full well he'd be released as soon as the DNA tests were completed, just to create a major distraction for the American voting public. It's all so Rovian.
