Bechtel unit wins FEMA contract worth up to $250M

The Federal Emergency Management Agency gave a two-year disaster recovery and housing contract to Bechtel National, a unit of Bechtel Corp.

The deal, which is capped at a $250 million ceiling, calls for Bechtel to put up and manage temporary housing and other recovery facilities after a disaster, as ordered by FEMA.

...

Bechtel National is also building power grids and public works in Iraq under a $1.8 billion government contract.

2. Because they are.
All of the big money contracts went to republican owned and operated businesses. It's sickening.

is split evenly among four firms, Flour, Bechtel, CH2MHill and the Shaw Group. these are the same four firms who overran the Katrina housing contract from $400 million to $3.2 billion. nice work if you can get it.

5. Let the rich steal as much as possible from the taxpayers. Thats
what this administration is about. They are giving everything away to their corrupt friends.
