US military convoy attacked by insurgents west of Baghdad
Edited on Sat Jul-08-06 04:29 PM by Barrett808
Baghdad - A roadside bomb and mortar rockets struck a US military convoy in the town of Karma near Fallujah, 70 kilometers west of Baghdad, killing and wounding a number of US soldiers on Saturday, a police source said.

A large number of armed men riding in civilian vehicles attacked the US convoy with RPGs (rocket-propelled grenades) and mortar rounds immediately after the ambush, wounding further soldiers, the source said.

Before the roadside explosion, the US soldiers sprayed shots randomly at civilians, killing a number of them, the source said.

Karma, 15 kilometers east of Fallujah, has witnessed an extensive arrest raid and all entrances were blocked, he added.

But a US military spokesman contacted by Deutsche Presse-Agentur dpa could not confirm any of the reported incidents.

Earlier, three Iraqis were killed and four others wounded when their house was bombarded by US fighter jets in Zawba, east of Fallujah, according to medical sources.

2. Fortunately, we killed 500,000 of the attackers
while losing no men of our own.

US-led coalition forces later killed an estimated additional 2 million insurgents inside the town itself, after which, Iraqi civilians were reported to be dancinn in the streets and waving American flags.

3. The Arrogance of the War Mongers cannot see the escalation of the
People of Iraq...

Soon, they will tire of our presence, if not already, and carry out acts of resistence to the USA Military. Its becoming a larger level of pain for our troops.

Is it worth it? CW sez not,

it is not worth the lives/$$ we spending....

5. by insurgents?
Or Iraqis that are sick of us and might be considered patriots by their fellow Iraqi men and
women. 80% + of that country wants us dead and or gone.

This is not like Vietnam .... no jungle so the locals must be hiding some of "the insurgents."

Welcome to hell. Send the twins ASAP.
