Records: Press Aide Knew Online Chat Risks

In Internet and phone chats with someone he thought was a 14-year-old girl, a Department of Homeland Security press aide talked about underage sex, boasted about his job and called President Bush a "liar," according to transcripts released by prosecutors.

Brian Doyle, 56, of Silver Spring, Md., acknowledged his chat room pal - "Ashlynne" - could be a police officer "trapping" him, according to about 400 pages of records released this week. Undercover Polk County sheriff's detectives posed as the girl.

Doyle allegedly wrote that "law enforcement is very good at this ... i have soooo much to lose ... despite your denials that it was rape ... they would prosecute me. and i would go to prison."

Doyle resigned from his job shortly after his April 4 arrest on charges of trying to solicit sex with an underage child. He has pleaded not guilty and is free on $230,000 bond. If convicted on all counts, he could be sentenced to life in prison.

2. One what? Seems like he had no intention of meeting her...
and noted in the transcript he would go to jail if he did.

3. Ahhhh, that's why they busted him....
called President Bush a "liar,"

Can't be having that. When soliciting illicit sex with a minor, it is dangerous to put such imflammatory thoughts into her head.

:sarcasm:

4. Can anyone see the real crime in this story?
That's right, it's calling President Bush a "liar." Had that crucial bit of truth not been mixed into the crime, we wouldn't be reading about it.

5. What did he actually do? He told "her" he didn't want to meet with "her"?
And they arrested him after he told the agent he didn't want to meet with "her"? I'm not following the procecutor's logic.

6. Scumbag bragged about missiles
A Homeland Security Department official sweet-talked a teen girl he planned to bed by boasting about his knowledge of shoulder-fired missiles and sex, prosecutors alleged this week.

Brian Doyle, 56, the former No. 2 spokesman at the department, spent endless hours on the phone and in America Online chat rooms telling a 14-year-old in Florida how he wanted to defile her, according to 387 pages of evidence investigators presented to a court.

He sent her chocolates and e-mailed porn videos. He even flirted with visiting her to have sex at a time of the month when she'd be least likely to get pregnant.

<snip>

"You are so UNDERAGE ... I could go to prison for YEARS," he wrote.

7. Well the Scumbag was right about one thing.
The Homeland Security aide also added that he met President Bush, and said of the President: "nice guy but not a good president ... he is not very bright and it is evident ... bush is a liar ... there were NO weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. total lie to go to war."

8. I smell SET UP!!!
Maybe I am just too paranoid, but how convenient is it for the Bush cabal to have the kinds of things anti-war protestors say coimng out of the mouth of a child molestor?
