DUers rallied on Thursday, bringing in 180 donations in 24 hours! That makes Thursday our second-best fund-raising day of this week. THANK YOU, DUERS... I knew you would come through!

Now, let's make Friday even better.

We're within striking distance of our goal of 1200 donations. If we can make it to 1000 by daybreak Saturday morning, then it should be smooth sailing for the last two days of the fund drive. We usually get a pretty good Friday afternoon rally in donations: Some people who have been putting it off all week finally find the time to donate; some people like to wait so they can be part of the final push; and some people donate on Friday because it's payday.

Whatever your reason, Today is the day to Donate to DU. C'mon everyone! It only takes a minute, and it goes to a good cause. We need your help to keep DU going strong.

Thank you for keeping DU going, you guys deserve a great moderators hot tub! I have enjoyed watching the stickys move across the top of the page, but cannot donate this time around due to a whole bunch of crap. Will catch you next time, I hope, in the meantime, thanks.

5. A question on donating

I have donated twice this round - does that count once towards the total or twice? ie - does it go by how many different folks donated or how many times they submit one? Or does it go by name on credit card (if one is used)

I only ask because I usually donate once in my screen name and once in my wife's. I have not donated for hers yet as she has not been on a lot with her meds and probably won't be for awhile.

If it does skew the numbers (total # of donations) I can try to put them all in at once and donate a star to the wife. Whatever works best.

Don't worry about whether you'll skew the numbers. The most important thing is that people donate.
