Penn to Play Clarke in Movie
May 17, 2006

Christopher Isham Reports:

Former White House counter-terrorism official Richard Clarke, now an ABC News consultant, will be portrayed by Sean Penn in the Sony film of Clarke's "Against All Enemies." The book chronicles what happened inside the White House leading up to and through the 9/ll attacks. The film will be directed by Paul Haggis (the director of the Oscar-winning film "Crash").

7. Excellent. Sounds like we have all the right players for a great film.
I could watch Penn all day because he's such a fine actor. I hope it isn't over-dramatized beyond reality, or the freepers will have a field day with it (they will anyway), but I want truth.

11. I can't wait for the counter-programming...
The Nut Right will NOT let this pass.

They must be frantically scanning the Regnery Publishing lists now, muttering "But what book can WE make into a movie to strike back at the Evil Lib'ruls?"

I only hope that whatever they make, it's just as funny as one of the greatest comedies ever made: DC 9/11: Day Of Crisis. Featuring a brave Shrub, a lucid Pickles, and a modest Condescencia Rice!
