Hollywood receives Al Gore, documentary on global warming
LOS ANGELES - Hollywood rolled out the green carpet Tuesday for former U.S. Vice President Al Gore and his global warming documentary, "An Inconvenient Truth."

Actors and activists joined in celebrating Gore's film, which combines data about global warming and Gore's personal story, including the Supreme Court's decision to halt the recount in the 2000 presidential election, giving victory to George Bush.

Gore was applauded as he entered the Director's Guild of America theater.
...
Actors including Sharon Stone, David Duchovny from the "X-Files," "Curb Your Enthusiasm" co-star Larry David and comedian Garry Shandling attended the showing, where guests walked a green carpet instead of the traditional red.

"It's just the environment and planet, that's all," said Shandling.

1. Were there any recycled materials used during this little "party"?
was the "green" carpet made of organic or recycled materials? Did the "stars" car pool? Was the food provided my farmers within 100 miles of the event? How many arrived in hybrids? Was the building solar powered or wind powered? More than likely a resounding NO.

I love Gore and he's bringing this issue to the general mouth breathing public, but these types of events make me puke.
Nothing but photo ops for the stars to look responsible. Some are, but most aren't.

3. Yeah, I suppose you are right...
It would just be really nice to see the event, not just the message, also being responsible.
